Big Brother’s Loko has more cameras in her future

City1A_21-600x400It hasn’t been a week since Reabetsoe Moloko (aka Loko) left the Big Brother Mzansi house, and the 22-year-old artist manager is already getting job offers.

“I am so happy to have received so much love from South Africans,” she says excitedly.

“People have been approaching me for gigs in the entertainment industry – something I have always dreamed of.”

Moloko kept viewers entertained with her spontaneous personality, interesting dance moves and, of course, her fake Nigerian accent.

She also became associated with phrases such as “Bump the likhwa”, which means “more alcohol please” and “Brudda” which she used to refer to the guys in the house.

“It was crazy, but it was all me, I’ve always enjoyed entertaining and having a good time.”

While Moloko is passionate about being an all-rounder in the entertainment industry, she’s not shy to talk about her weaknesses.

“I can’t sing at all,” she says with a laugh.

“I love our music industry, and I’m fortunate to have had the opportunity to work in it behind the scenes. But right now, I want to focus on my presenting and acting career, something I am very excited about.”

As one of the reality show’s finalists, Loko was just as disappointed as her fans were when she didn’t win the R1 million cash prize, but she believed she went far enough in the social game.

“Being chosen to get into the house was a blessing for me. More than anything, I wanted a platform that would help me launch my career as an actress, and that is exactly what I got.”

As she left the Big Brother house, the other evicted housemates rose to their feet to applaud the one person who was not only loved by her fans, but also by all the housemates. Within seconds, she ran excitedly into Poolie’s arms – she had a brief romance with him in the house.

Asked if they would continue their relationship now that the show is over, Moloko decided to keep mum. But when the voice of “Big Brother” spoke of Mandla Hlatshwayo’s humility and positive attitude at the show’s finale, Moloko nodded in agreement.

“Mandla deserved to win. He would always tell me about his inspiring business plans. I’m so happy that he can make some of his dreams come true now,” she smiles.
